[ Overview ]

FROM FIRE
TO FINISH

Restaurants sell atmosphere as much as food. The owners wanted films that felt like a Saturday night at their tables — warm, unhurried, a little smoky. So we built each episode around a single dish and the cook who owns it.

Shooting inside a working kitchen meant choreography: camera positions rehearsed during prep, then two dinner services filmed without ever blocking a pass. The staff forgot we were there. That was the point.

HOW IT WAS SHOT

  1. Market mornings

Each episode opens where the dish begins — the market run at dawn, produce still cold from the truck.

  2. Two services, no staging

Kitchen action is real service, filmed with compact rigs that stayed out of the cooks' way.

  3. Portraits at the pass

Short interviews recorded during family meal, when the crew is relaxed and honest.

[ Deliverables ]

  • Three 4-minute episodes — one dish, one cook, one story each.
  • Trailer cut — a 45-second series opener for the homepage.
  • Stills library — graded frames for menus, press and social.

[ Outcome ]

The series plays on loop in the restaurant's waiting area and anchors their catering pitches. Guests now arrive already knowing the cooks by name — the films did the introducing.
